Macro-level analysis: "Trends in R&D Cooperation among EU and BRIC countries’ Higher Education Institutions"
This report presents valuable information for Higher Education Institutions, researchers and policy makers from EU and BRIC regarding the trends in cooperation among EU and BRIC HEIs, showing the main R&D cooperation programmes and organizations on EU, BRIC and EU member states level, and analyzing aspects and experiences gathered through interviews conducted by the consortium partners.
Micro-level analysis: "A Comparative Analysis of Institutional Innovation and IP Policies, Strategies and Practices"
This document shows the legal and political framework for IP management in EU and BRIC HEIs, as well as concrete examples on how IP Management is addressed in EU and BRIC HEIs in practice. The document is a resource of ideas for Higher Education Institutions to improve their IP management practices and aims to enhance transparency and mutual understanding of IP management regimes, institutional policies and strategies.

In two main sections, this report combines information on (I) legal and political framework that governs scientific research cooperation and intellectual property rights in EU and BRIC countries, with (II) practical examples and recommendations for how to manage intellectual property rights in R&D cooperation, with special focus on higher education institutions.
