IP-Unilink seeks to contribute to strengthen the institutional capacity at EU and BRIC Universities concerning the protection, diffusion and commercialisation of knowledge, focusing specifically on joint research and development (R&D) projects. The project aims to attain this objective by carrying out the following activities:
- Analysis activities , structured in 2 levels:
- A macro-level analysis aiming to study the higher education R&D trends between the EU and BRIC countries to enhance the visibility of joint research and understand future developments. This analysis will identify the main cooperation areas and its fluctuation based on EC and BRIC countries databases. Click to see the event
- A micro-level analysis aiming to contribute to transparency and mutual understanding of IP management regimes by developing a comparative analysis of IP institutional policies and strategies. Click to see the event
- Good Practice : Based on the Analysis activities and further good practice search, a “Good practice Guide for IP management and research collaboration between EU and BRIC countries, including Case studies” will be developed. The Good Practice guide will be a document gathering together all the recommendations and findings compiled by the partners into one handy and easy-to-use guideline document which aims to serve as a source of ideas for other higher education institutions wanting to improve their IP management practices. Special attention will be paid to key aspects in the research collaboration between BRIC countries and Europe identified in the analysis phase.
- Dissemination activities implemented by the project partners include:
- Participation in three international higher education conferences in EU and in one conference in each of the BRIC countries;
- A specially created project website as a platform for disseminating project activities and outcomes;
- Organisation of an international video-streaming virtual conference where the results of the project will be presented in 2010.
